Parts of the test
The Advanced test is divided into 4 parts: Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening y Speaking.

Reading and Use of English

This section lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, bears 40% of the final mark and it is divided into 8 parts (each part belongs to each activity):

• Part 1: Fill in the gaps with the appropriate given words.
• Part 2: Fill in the gaps with the appropriate word.
• Part 3: Word transformation.
• Part 4: Sentence rephrasing.
• Part 5: Read a text and choose the best answer.
• Part 6: Read 4 short texts and match them with the statements given.
• Part 7: Complete the text with the given paragraphs.
• Part 8: Match the texts with the appropriate given texts.

Writing

This section lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, bears 20% of the final mark and it is divided into 2 parts (each part belongs to each activity):

• Part 1: Write an essay using the given notes..
• Part 2: Write a text (letter/email – article – report – review).

Listening

This section lasts 40 minutes, bears 20% of the final mark and it is divided into 4 parts (each part belongs to each activity):

• Part 1: Answer the questions according to what yout hear.
• Part 2: Fill in the gaps according to what you hear.
• Part 3: Choose the best answer according to what you hear.
• Part 4: Answer the questions according to what you hear and complete both tasks.

Speaking

This section lasts 14 minutes per both candidates, bears 20% of the final mark and it is divided into 4 parts (each part belongs to each activity):

• Part 1: Conversation with the examiner about personal background.
• Part 2: Description and analysis of the visual material given (2 pictures).
• Part 3: Conversation with your partner about the visual material given.
• Part 4: Conversation with your partner about the visual material given in Part 3 and guided by the examiner
